This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to move away from a client facing Legal role and become an integral part of the Compliance Team. You will provide high quality compliance advice and support to ensure the successful delivery of the Compliance function. The Compliance team consists of three friendly members and holds an important function within our Law firm, liaising with and supporting our Lawyers on a variety of different compliance risks. The work that the team covers is varied and includes some interesting projects which the successful candidate will be involved in, there is scope for the person to own certain projects, giving responsibility and different opportunities.

This role is offered on either a Full Time or Part Time basis. 

Please note this role is based in our Marks Tey office which you would need to attend each day. 
 
The Day to Day
 
Your day-to-day work will include:
  • Understanding and operating in accordance with the regulatory and accreditation requirements at the firm such as AML regulations, SRA Standards and Regulations, Lexcel and CQS.  
  • Answering internal queries from H&H employees and providing support. 
  • Reviewing systems and procedures
  • Maintaining registers and collating information & assisting with specific project
  •  Launch and monitor projects to implement improvement actions necessary to address compliance issues
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and well documented. 
  • Assist on a variety of projects within the team. 
 
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
 
Conveyancing/property/AML experience would be ideal and very desirable, alternatively previous compliance experience or Legal experience would also be beneficial along with strong administrative skills. 
 
 
WHAT SKILLS SHOULD I HAVE?
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
  • Good analytical skills
  • Have excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT literacy skills
  • Be highly organised and able to manage priorities effectively
  • Confident communicator
